The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Almeida in the 92nd minute of play. When Willy Stieler fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Willy Stieler a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willy Stieler to maneuver through the defense.
