Beat Leutwyler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Hagedorn's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. A collision led to B68 Toftir getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Kallistus Bussmann hit a great ball. After 24 played minutes, Rapid Wien's Mirco Kähler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Beat Leutwyler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rapid Wien reached it. Alf Tempel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Lizbeth in the 25th minute of play. The corner ended in Lázaro Lizbeth almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rapid Wien's Alf Tempel did a great save. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Asserlindh charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Asserlindh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, B68 Toftir's Felix Asserlindh got a free kick in the 46th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 74 minutes, Daniel Hagedorn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rapid Wien and the B68 Toftir players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Rapid Wien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Hagedorn to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmie Nyemanting in the 81st minute of play forced Rapid Wien's goalkeeper Alf Tempel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. B68 Toftir had won after a very even match.
