A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Gust Ennemans hit a great ball. After some careless play in the MZetowe Mastodonty defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hudson de Carvalho. The MZetowe Mastodonty fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hudson de Carvalho should have stopped the shot. 16 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Gdowski came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MZetowe Mastodonty's Hudson de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 18th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, David Eikelkamp made a precise shot to the right of Hudson de Carvalho. MZetowe Mastodonty's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Czeslaw Gdowski got free with Arnout Reekers in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hudson de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

MZetowe Mastodonty made a substitution. Wladyslaw Kaczor replaced Iwo Werra. The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Gdowski in the 53rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Czeslaw Gdowski sped through Netherlands's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. 67 minutes into the match, MZetowe Mastodonty's goal looked a bit too open when David Eikelkamp came free, but Hudson de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Czeslaw Gdowski in the 69th minute of the match. Hudson de Carvalho came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Elías Figueroa kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Damián Angulo came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hudson de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijn Doctor to maneuver through the defense. If Damián Angulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, MZetowe Mastodonty's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Hudson de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
