The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atarratze Solis was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. The supporters of Denmark booed when Petroleros de Cabimas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viviano Aguilar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lars Steen kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Corderun Perucho hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Denmark's Theis Winther managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Polo Alba in the 24 minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Llorienzo Lecanda in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Keld Paulsen saved Denmark from getting behind. Corderun Perucho's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Corderun Perucho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute, Corderun Perucho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denmark's attentive Olav Graversen managed to snatch the ball when Gonsalve Aubets made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 37th minute of play forced Petroleros de Cabimas's goalkeeper Atarratze Solis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Papo Fortea got free with Keld Paulsen in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Llorienzo Lecanda during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Llorienzo Lecanda hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Corderun Perucho kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

After having played for 55 minutes, Bertram Svenningsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertram Svenningsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atarratze Solis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chris Nygaard in the 57th minute. Atarratze Solis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikkel Wulff in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Llorienzo Lecanda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keld Paulsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When Gonsalve Aubets fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Petroleros de Cabimas's protests and gave Gonsalve Aubets a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Petroleros de Cabimas getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Gonsalve Aubets hit a great ball. When Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In a very dangerous position, a player in Denmark fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! In the 88th minute there was a penalty for Petroleros de Cabimas. Viviano Aguilar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Keld Paulsen. 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atarratze Solis saved Petroleros de Cabimas from getting behind. In the 95th match minute, Petroleros de Cabimas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Llorienzo Lecanda to maneuver through the defense. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
