Maxime Durand was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maxime Durand was a little too slow when Aldo Di Biagio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 6-0. 46 minutes into the match, Aquiles Gana dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maxime Durand, 7-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aquiles Gana made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match France got a corner. AC Morena's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Barbier ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AC Morena fans cheered their team off the field, for while France had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
