The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefan Åman in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl Hermer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 10 minutes into the game, one of Fomac FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for FC Nordsjælland. Kirstein Luvard stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sören Zachrisson. 1-1. Jarl Jansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Karl Hermer made a huge save. After 18 minutes of play, FC Nordsjælland's Anders Boutrup made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sören Zachrisson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jens-Ove Berg kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 22 played minutes Fomac FK got a freekick which was hit by Jarl Jansson. Fomac FK's Sören Zachrisson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Boutrup in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fomac FK's Carl Kjellqvist got a free kick in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, FC Nordsjælland's goalkeeper Karl Hermer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Kjellqvist. FC Nordsjælland's Karl Hermer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Kjellqvist in the 31st minute of play. Stefan Åman charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stefan Åman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fomac FK getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Bertel Holsgaard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sören Zachrisson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, FC Nordsjælland's Kirstein Luvard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sören Zachrisson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stefan Åman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Karl Hermer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jarl Jansson made the kick off in the second half. Stefan Åman took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karl Hermer. Karl Hermer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Stefan Åman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Hermer having to interfere. Fomac FK's Sören Zachrisson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kirstein Luvard in the 61st minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Fomac FK's goal looked a bit too open when Kirstein Luvard came free, but Sören Zachrisson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertel Holsgaard kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Bertel Holsgaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stefan Åman hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Fomac FK's Sören Zachrisson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Fomac FK from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Fomac FK getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Carl Kjellqvist hit a great ball. The supporters of FC Nordsjælland booed when Fomac FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claes Åkerström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 minutes of play, FC Nordsjælland's Bertel Holsgaard made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sören Zachrisson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
