After 12 minutes of play, Olimpia HSB's Fernando Morientes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Melker Ödman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabian Czeszejko might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melker Ödman. The Olimpia HSB fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Diniimanibelediyespor's Melker Ödman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Diniimanibelediyespor from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Panait Maxim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpia HSB's supporters rose to their feet, but Panait Maxim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melker Ödman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vladan Kovačević didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gösta Billvall went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Olimpia HSB made a substitution. Zbyszko Skorny replaced Artur Walczak. Jacek Pietrowiak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Melker Ödman made a huge save. Melker Ödman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacek Pietrowiak in the 81st minute. Jacek Pietrowiak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Melker Ödman having to make a save.
