In the 11th match minute, Westenenk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddy van den Eede to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Wieslaw Posadzki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bedrettin Kamuran was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Westenenk's Jaap van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kılıçalp Akdemirci in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Westenenk's goalkeeper Jaap van der Schans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olavo Guerreiro. In the 19th minute, Westenenk's Joop Koopmans seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Joop Koopmans the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Westenenk protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Joop Koopmans had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 19th minute, one of Westenenk:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Westenenk. Westenenk:s Jaap van der Schans showed great skill when he stopped Rüzgar Zirve:s penalty. Jaap van der Schans came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by BEYOĞLU ÇUKURCUMA 1965's Rüzgar Zirve. But to his dismay, Rüzgar Zirve quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jaap van der Schans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Rıza Yeten in the 25th minute of play. Bedrettin Kamuran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervasio Lauaxeta in the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Westenenk's goal looked a bit too open when Lütfü Yezid came free, but Jaap van der Schans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaap van der Schans made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Ömer Rıza Yeten sent off a good shot on target. Olavo Guerreiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Jaap van der Schans made a huge save. Jaap van der Schans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kılıçalp Akdemirci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eddy van den Eede kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valio Tammisto made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Eddy van den Eede hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 孙桑翀 made in the 54th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Westenenk's Carlo de Jong. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lütfü Yezid in the 60th minute of play forced Westenenk's goalkeeper Jaap van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Valio Tammisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BEYOĞLU ÇUKURCUMA 1965's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
