Filippo Cappucci was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Nikola Mirotić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Temelko Smochevski hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Filippo Cappucci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Czeszejko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Fabian Czeszejko made a precise shot to the right of Filippo Cappucci. Chelsea FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The throw-in from Temelko Smochevski in the 31st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Olimpia HSB's Panait Maxim. With an all-out effort, Chelsea FC's Vladan Kovačević threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zlatko Duhtev, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Filippo Cappucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Czeszejko in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chelsea FC's goalkeeper Filippo Cappucci, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Fabian Czeszejko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olimpia HSB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Fabian Czeszejko put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Filippo Cappucci. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabian Czeszejko made a kick off. Filippo Cappucci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Czeszejko in the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chelsea FC's goalkeeper Filippo Cappucci, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes in the game Temelko Smochevski did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Nayden Simidchiev. Fabian Czeszejko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filippo Cappucci having to make a save. Fabian Czeszejko might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filippo Cappucci. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Morientes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filippo Cappucci having to interfere. Nikola Mirotić hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Vladan Kovačević showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhelyazko Buzin, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Fabian Czeszejko struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Filippo Cappucci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olimpia HSB. 70 minutes into the game, Fabian Czeszejko recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filippo Cappucci. Fabian Czeszejko showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Olimpia HSB's Jacek Pietrowiak was substituted for Fabian Czeszejko. The supporters of Olimpia HSB booed when Chelsea FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zhelyazko Buzin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Jacek Pietrowiak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filippo Cappucci. With a little luck, Chelsea FC's Filippo Cappucci got control of the ball when Jacek Pietrowiak tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Olimpia HSB's Ezequiel Abecia got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Jacek Pietrowiak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filippo Cappucci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacek Pietrowiak in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filippo Cappucci prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olimpia HSB's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
