The Athletico Picapedrense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Hristo Stoichkov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Athletico Picapedrense's supporters rose to their feet, but Hristo Stoichkov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bedrettin Kamuran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Athletico Picapedrense's Eloi Fontanella sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bedrettin Kamuran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led to Athletico Picapedrense's Coronel Ribas getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Jesus Sayveon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olavo Guerreiro in the 87th minute of the match. Athletico Picapedrense's Claudio Zárate was substituted for Hristo Stoichkov.
