In the 8th minute, Abutres 2003 FDP's Emmanuel Hinojosa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After having played for 10 minutes, Osvaldinho Vergílio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abutres 2003 FDP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldinho Vergílio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Felipe Barreto notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Abutres 2003 FDP's Jan Figlewski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 34th minute of play forced Abutres 2003 FDP's goalkeeper Jan Figlewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldinho Vergílio came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wilson Amorim could save by the left post. Daniel Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Portugal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Chiquinho Pombal 41 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Jan Figlewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Joaquin Jobo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

After 60 minutes, Bruno Bastos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portugal and the Abutres 2003 FDP players grew even worse after the yellow card.
