Romania's Carol Stinga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Romania from getting a goal against them. Phoenix Fireball SE's Tanek Nakoneczny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costica Vladimiri in the 43rd minute of play. Adam Olaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Tanek Nakoneczny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Phoenix Fireball SE got a freekick which was hit by Milán Seres. In the 48th minute, Adam Olaru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tanek Nakoneczny was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Romania's Adam Olaru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tanek Nakoneczny. That made the score 0-2 after 53 minutes of play. Rasvan Cristescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernát Szuper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Carol Stinga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phoenix Fireball SE's Sándor Toldi was substituted for Bernát Szuper. Tanek Nakoneczny made an important save on a dangerous shot by Octavian Vaduva in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, Romania's Filip Stefan got a free kick in the 96th minute.
