An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Ferraz in the 43rd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Morales Moreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nas Horas Vagas F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hugo Furlan in the 53rd minute. In the 79thth minute of the game Morales Moreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Nas Horas Vagas F.C fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Nas Horas Vagas F.C's Morales Moreira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Morales Moreira in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Morales Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Holweck to maneuver through the defense. Lúcio Pitta charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lúcio Pitta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, Nas Horas Vagas F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Pitta to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Nas Horas Vagas F.C fully deserved thier win.
