Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Alberto Suárez in the 8th minute of play. Zhivko Kudev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ilija Skugor was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Zhivko Kudev capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zhivko Kudev really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Alberto Suárez came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Alberto Suárez, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Ilija Skugor was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Amador Rubio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amador Rubio really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Tião Silveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Ilija Skugor made a huge save. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Croatia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stayko Bobekov was slow to take the kick. During this time Birmingham City F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Birmingham City F.C. were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Croatia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stayko Bobekov took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Amador Rubio heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 27 minutes into the match, Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Alberto Suárez. After 28 minutes of play, Birmingham City F.C.'s Zhivko Kudev made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilija Skugor was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Croatia defense, Zhivko Kudev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilija Skugor. The Croatia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilija Skugor should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Luis Alberto Suárez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ilija Skugor, 5-0. Toni Mauzer charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Ilija Skugor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 7-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luis Alberto Suárez to strike the kick off in the second half. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Rubio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhivko Kudev in the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Neven Culina got a free kick in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Luis Alberto Suárez notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Croatia's Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 59 minutes, Amador Rubio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birmingham City F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Rubio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute, Peycho Zvezdanov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Birmingham City F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 12-0. In the 87th minute, Amador Rubio made a precise shot to the right of Ilija Skugor. Croatia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 13-0. 94 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Alberto Suárez came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peycho Zvezdanov scored 15-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilija Skugor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Birmingham City F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
