Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sten Gustafsson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Pat Harkin made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Sten Gustafsson sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Begley McNamara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Illanbaun Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Begley McNamara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Backlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Cleary Mulvihill ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sten Backlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cleary Mulvihill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Cleary Mulvihill notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Galatasaray's Sten Backlund. Sten Backlund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Illanbaun Utd's Oliver Costello got a free kick in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Igelström in the 25th minute of play forced Illanbaun Utd's goalkeeper Pat Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Illanbaun Utd's zone, Tommy Igelström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pat Harkin came out of the goal and Tommy Igelström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Lingren made in the 30th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tommy Igelström immediately put the ball in play. Sten Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pat Harkin having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Begley McNamara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Pat Harkin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Galatasaray's Tommy Igelström was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pat Harkin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 40th minute, Tommy Igelström made a precise shot to the right of Pat Harkin. Illanbaun Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Tommy Igelström hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half Illanbaun Utd were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cleary Mulvihill made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Morgan Skog got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, Dane Doyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Illanbaun Utd booed when Galatasaray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Igelström didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 60 in the game by Cleary Mulvihill from a close distance when the talented Sten Backlund managed to make a qualified save. Galatasaray's players were relieved. Pat Harkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Winström in the 65th minute of the match. Sten Backlund made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Cleary Mulvihill sent off a good shot on target. If Cleary Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Illanbaun Utd defense, Tommy Igelström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pat Harkin. The Illanbaun Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pat Harkin should have stopped the shot. Björn Åström kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The long shot by Dane Doyle in the 83rd minute really tested Sten Backlund's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Sten Backlund made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Cleary Mulvihill sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, Sten Gustafsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cleary Mulvihill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Backlund having to interfere. When the match had been going on for 94 minutes, Illanbaun Utd's Dane Doyle got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sten Backlund. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 3-4 when Cleary Mulvihill sped through Galatasaray's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sten Backlund. Although Galatasaray had been in control for most of the match, Illanbaun Utd still came away with the win.
