After 8 minutes of play, Dream Team's Freddie Pearce made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sten Backlund was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dale Frost fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Backlund having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lloyd Laverick in the 13th minute of play forced Galatasaray's goalkeeper Sten Backlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Morgan Skog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 18 in the game by Sten Gustafsson from a close distance when the talented Liam Holdroyd managed to make a qualified save. Dream Team's players were relieved. Galatasaray's Tommy Igelström got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tommy Igelström received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Liam Holdroyd came out and tried to block the shot, but Tommy Igelström slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 27th minute. In the 30thth minute of the game Tommy Igelström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dream Team's Liam Holdroyd was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tommy Igelström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Liam Holdroyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Tommy Igelström rounded Dream Team's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Sten Backlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lloyd Laverick in the 37th minute of the match. When Lloyd Laverick came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Dream Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lloyd Laverick couldn't finish the play. Sten Backlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dale Frost, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Tommy Igelström fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lloyd Laverick to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Lloyd Laverick took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Sten Backlund to make any attempt to save it. In the 56th minute Ingvar Winström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Holdroyd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Dream Team getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Dale Frost hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Jörgen Cane got a free kick in the 60th minute. Liam Holdroyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calle Axelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Alfred Brewer collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Morgan Skog's late challenge caught a Dream Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Morgan Skog helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sten Gustafsson in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Liam Holdroyd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes into the game, Galatasaray's Sten Gustafsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Liam Holdroyd made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. If Tommy Igelström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 minutes, Freddie Pearce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dream Team and the Galatasaray players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th minute, Freddie Pearce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dale Frost fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Backlund having to interfere. Sten Backlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie Pearce, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Dan Marler hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute of the match Pelle Hellkvist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Liam Holdroyd skillfully saved the ball. If Sten Gustafsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dream Team players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Galatasaray.
