Pat Harkin came out of the goal and Donzel Rius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, El Magdonal's Atilano Corias got control of the ball when Cleary Mulvihill tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dane Doyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Corias having to interfere. The throw-in from Otsoko Bocos in the 12th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Illanbaun Utd's Dane Doyle. In the 14th match minute, El Magdonal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dionisio Olaeta to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Valles during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, El Magdonal's Valentin Valles got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Valles in the 22nd minute of play forced Illanbaun Utd's goalkeeper Pat Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, El Magdonal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Guemez to maneuver through the defense. Cleary Mulvihill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Atilano Corias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cleary Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pat Harkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donzel Rius in the 38th minute of play. Dionisio Olaeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otsoko Bocos kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donzel Rius in the 46th minute of play forced Illanbaun Utd's goalkeeper Pat Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dane Doyle charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dane Doyle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cleary Mulvihill to make the kick off. Illanbaun Utd's Pat Harkin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Illanbaun Utd from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donzel Rius in the 71st minute of play forced Illanbaun Utd's goalkeeper Pat Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Guemez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Illanbaun Utd's Pat Harkin. Pat Harkin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, El Magdonal's Otsoko Bocos got a free kick in the 81st minute. When the match was over El Magdonal could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Illanbaun Utd throughout the match.
