Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adalberto Rosa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tommy Igelström showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. After 7 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Morgan Skog. After a defensive mix-up in Navirai's zone, Tommy Igelström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Rosa came out of the goal and Tommy Igelström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16thth minute of the game Ronaldinho Valle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasaray's Sten Backlund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adalberto Rosa came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Galatasaray's Sten Gustafsson. But to his dismay, Sten Gustafsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Lúcio Guimarães hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the game, Jim Deckberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galatasaray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Navirai the free kick. Adalberto Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Gustafsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 42nd minute, Jörgen Cane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when Navirai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Sten Gustafsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Tommy Igelström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy Igelström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adalberto Rosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Galatasaray getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Morgan Skog hit a great ball. After 60th play minutes Sten Gustafsson shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Adalberto Rosa and just under the crossbar into goal. Navirai's Adalberto Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Igelström in the 64th minute of play. Jim Deckberg was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 68 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, one of Galatasaray:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Galatasaray. Galatasaray:s Sten Backlund showed great skill when he stopped Ismael Capixaba:s penalty. Sten Gustafsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Adalberto Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Nestor Medeiros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sten Gustafsson in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adalberto Rosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adalberto Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sten Gustafsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sten Gustafsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adalberto Rosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Lúcio Guimarães charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lúcio Guimarães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lúcio Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Manuel Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Sten Backlund made a huge save. Sten Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Rosa having to interfere.
