A throw-in in the 21st minute of the game was made by Gabin Doare with Cipriano Marques as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Feliciano Itzaina came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the ALEXANDRIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliciano Itzaina couldn't finish the play. Godfredo Obano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Marley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bob Marley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godfredo Obano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Dibag Martinez made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Feliciano Itzaina sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute of the match ALEXANDRIA got a corner. La Pantera Azulgrana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cipriano Marques ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 34 played minutes La Pantera Azulgrana got a freekick which was hit by Bob Marley. 37 minutes into the game, Bob Marley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Godfredo Obano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, ALEXANDRIA's Gabin Doare got a free kick in the 39th minute. Godfredo Obano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olaf Skaradowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feliciano Itzaina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
