Alfonso Gilabert received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bernardino Dimas came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfonso Gilabert slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. The audience was convinced that Angelino Inautzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eustacio Misael was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Agustin Txatxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eustacio Misael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelino Inautzi in the 83rd minute. Bernardino Dimas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesús Salvador, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Guns And Roses's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
