The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Deportivo ScrugenFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nunez Maurin in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jose Boldu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 17 minutes Deportivo ScrugenFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Peneios Protopsaltis who took care of the corner kick. 21 minutes into the match, Deportivo ScrugenFC's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Ubarna came free, but Jose Boldu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Renacer del Quijano FC's goalkeeper Andres Lastur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The throw-in from Saturnino Cuartio in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Deportivo ScrugenFC's Doriva Saldanha. Zoil Pequeño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Andres Lastur made a huge save. In the 47th minute, Lucas Cresconio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teobaldo Ubarna to make the kick off. With a little luck, Deportivo ScrugenFC's Jose Boldu got control of the ball when Teobaldo Ubarna tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoil Pequeño in the 73rd minute of play forced El Renacer del Quijano FC's goalkeeper Andres Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, El Renacer del Quijano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zoil Pequeño came free, but Andres Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zoil Pequeño in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andres Lastur saved El Renacer del Quijano FC from getting behind. If Teobaldo Ubarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Deportivo ScrugenFC made a substitution.
