If Truylos Barbari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Gurutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baron Buffon having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Atlético Rio Cuarto's goalkeeper Bernardino Dimas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guaberto Jacindo. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Baron Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Inautzi in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Los Muñes de Don Cuco booed when Atlético Rio Cuarto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Gurutz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes Los Muñes de Don Cuco got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Mero. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Bernardino Dimas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuralp Başdemir in the 24th minute of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Angelino Inautzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Rio Cuarto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelino Inautzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernardino Dimas was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Nuralp Başdemir capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nuralp Başdemir really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Baron Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Gurutz in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Inautzi in the 47th minute of play forced Los Muñes de Don Cuco's goalkeeper Baron Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Atlético Rio Cuarto made a substitution. Humberto Francesco replaced Fernando Bras. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelino Inautzi made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuralp Başdemir in the 53rd minute of play forced Atlético Rio Cuarto's goalkeeper Bernardino Dimas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Rio Cuarto's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Guaberto Jacindo was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Muñes de Don Cuco's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Guaberto Jacindo to fire away a dangerous shot which Bernardino Dimas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Bernardino Dimas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuralp Başdemir in the 62nd minute of play. Los Muñes de Don Cuco made a substitution. Ramon Pero replaced Peyami Hasanbeyli. After a rather tough play, Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Aureliano Cordeiro got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 69th minute, Aureliano Cordeiro fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. Primitivo Abeitia hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Aureliano Cordeiro's late challenge caught a Atlético Rio Cuarto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aureliano Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 played minutes Los Muñes de Don Cuco got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Cordeiro. In the 90th minute, Carlos Eduardo da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelino Inautzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Baron Buffon made a huge save. When the referee ended the match the Los Muñes de Don Cuco players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
