In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Karl-Axel Jansson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, La Candela FC's Silverio Lluterio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl-Axel Jansson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd minute La Candela FC were awarded a corner. Valtteri Snellman went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of C.A.Independiente's goalie and right to Lu Yang Xing. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. C.A.Independiente's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
