Flavio Cifuentes started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Taltum FC booed when Blumenau Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Augusto Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Taltum FC fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Taltum FC's Flavio Cifuentes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 8thth minute of the game Flavio Cifuentes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Espinosa Marco in the 17th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Bin Shevchenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavio Cifuentes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 26 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Cifuentes came free, but Luiz Fábio Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Fábio Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Espinosa Marco in the 30th minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalie and right to Espinosa Marco. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Blumenau Esporte Clube's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Flavio Cifuentes might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Fábio Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flavio Cifuentes ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Fábio Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Cavenaghi in the 40th minute of play. Luiz Fábio Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Espinosa Marco, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 45th minute of the game Giovani Tinoco made a throw-in which Bin Shevchenko played forward. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Flavio Cifuentes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Blumenau Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Severino Leme hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Flavio Cifuentes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Fábio Leite was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 57th minute, Taltum FC's Marcelo Cavenaghi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luiz Fábio Leite. Luiz Fábio Leite yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Blumenau Esporte Clube's zone, Flavio Cifuentes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fábio Leite came out of the goal and Flavio Cifuentes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute Flavio Cifuentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fábio Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Leme during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Blumenau Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Severino Leme hit a great ball. Taltum FC's Ralf Albäck was substituted for Marcelo Cavenaghi. After 65 played minutes Blumenau Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Severino Leme. 67 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ralf Albäck. Luiz Fábio Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Espinosa Marco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Fábio Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Albäck in the 69th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Di Le Jun could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Luiz Fábio Leite however easily saved by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Obregón Pardemanos in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Fábio Leite saved Blumenau Esporte Clube from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Obregón Pardemanos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Fábio Leite was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Luiz Fábio Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralf Albäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Albäck came free, but Luiz Fábio Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Fábio Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Espinosa Marco in the 78th minute of play. Severino Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Obregón Pardemanos in the 89th minute of play forced Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Blumenau Esporte Clube supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Taltum FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Taltum FC.
