Isidoro Rio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rejunte de perros. After a defensive mix-up in Argentinean Patriots 1816's zone, Thomás Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidoro Rio came out of the goal and Thomás Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bello Cura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Noé Nouveau came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcelo Armani could save by the left post. Marcelo Armani was a little too slow when Bello Cura got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bello Cura in the 40th minute of play forced Rejunte de perros's goalkeeper Marcelo Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomás Barral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidoro Rio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Argentinean Patriots 1816 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Frederik to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 90 minutes of play, Rejunte de perros's Rogelio Funes Mori made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isidoro Rio was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 92 minutes, Urbano Vimaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rejunte de perros and the Argentinean Patriots 1816 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Argentinean Patriots 1816 booed when Rejunte de perros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Vimaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogelio Funes Mori might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidoro Rio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogelio Funes Mori ran back to his position shaking his head. Isidoro Rio made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Rogelio Funes Mori sent off a good shot on target. The Rejunte de perros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rejunte de perros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
