The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Argyris Zagorakis in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Kıvanç Yücesan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Azly Devan, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 35thth minute of the game Adolfo Sidro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Pfullendorf's Kıvanç Yücesan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alpheios Arvanitoyannis hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. SC Pfullendorf's David Moya got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. C.A.Independiente's Aldo Tohias was substituted for Carlitos Prezioso. 92 minutes into the game, Silvinho Pinheiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Pfullendorf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.Independiente the free kick. SC Pfullendorf's Qwinton Blazquez quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sixto Panfilo, made in the 95th minute of the game. After 96 played minutes C.A.Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Panfilo. Many of C.A.Independiente's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. C.A.Independiente may have spent more time on the ball, but SC Pfullendorf were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
