Omiros Ntounos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 19th minute of play forced ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's goalkeeper Omiros Ntounos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Omiros Ntounos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Major Barna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the game, Stavros Antzas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fodor Daniel. Stavros Antzas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Omiros Ntounos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omiros Ntounos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's goalkeeper Omiros Ntounos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanasis Malioufas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fodor Daniel came out and tried to block the shot, but Thanasis Malioufas slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 36th minute. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Szekeres Tamas charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Szekeres Tamas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szekeres Tamas to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thanasis Vouzakis to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Stavros Antzas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Omiros Ntounos made a huge save. 59 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Omiros Ntounos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ made a substitution. Farid Delecroix replaced Thanasis Vouzakis. After 63 minutes ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Omiros Ntounos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The attack was good, but when Takacs Tibor in the 63rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A hard shot 65 in the game by Balazs Lajos from a close distance when the talented Omiros Ntounos managed to make a qualified save. ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's players were relieved. In the 68th minute Hegedus Henrik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omiros Ntounos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Takacs Tibor kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Farid Delecroix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Vörös Henrik got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute Paris Georgiadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Paris Georgiadis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
