Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Toni Mauzer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the match, Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Onea. Dinu Săvoiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toni Mauzer's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute Zdzislaw Hajder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horaţiu Blăniță could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Ilija Skugor made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Ilija Skugor successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Toni Mauzer came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Croatia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toni Mauzer couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Croatia's zone, Horaţiu Blăniță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilija Skugor came out of the goal and Horaţiu Blăniță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Onea got free with Ilija Skugor in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iulian Dorian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Bosak in the 19th minute of play forced POLI TIMISOARA's goalkeeper Dinu Săvoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Iulian Dorian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The POLI TIMISOARA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Zdzislaw Hajder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilija Skugor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edgar Onea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. Zdzislaw Hajder struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Ilija Skugor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for POLI TIMISOARA. Edgar Oneas short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Ilija Skugor to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Iulian Dorian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Horaţiu Blăniță who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Ilija Skugor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ilija Skugor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Șerban Georgescu in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute Horaţiu Blăniță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Edgar Onea made the kick off in the second half. Toni Mauzer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinu Săvoiu having to interfere. When POLI TIMISOARA's Edgar Onea in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Croatia's goalie prevented a goal. Toni Mauzer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horaţiu Blăniță, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zdzislaw Hajder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilija Skugor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zdzislaw Hajder went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horaţiu Blăniță in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Edgar Onea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilija Skugor. Croatia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgar Onea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 69th minute Horaţiu Blăniță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Iulian Dorian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Edgar Onea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The POLI TIMISOARA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 77th minute Martin Bosak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinu Săvoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Onea in the 79th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Zdzislaw Hajder sped through Croatia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ilija Skugor. Zdzislaw Hajder took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. 88 minutes into the game, Horaţiu Blăniță cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Ilija Skugor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 92nd minute, Horaţiu Blăniță left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The POLI TIMISOARA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. In the 94th match minute, Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toni Mauzer to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Onea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilija Skugor having to interfere. There was no doubt that POLI TIMISOARA were the better team. POLI TIMISOARA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
