Daryl Bullard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexander Higgins having to make a save. Tom Kemp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Higgins having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, Alistair Morrison was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scotland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Cicloneta the free kick. After 6 played minutes Scotland got a freekick which was hit by Alistair Morrison. Daryl Bullard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Scotland's Ashton Nelson got a free kick in the 8th minute. Ricky Millman hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Tom Kemp fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 15 minutes into the game, Daryl Bullard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alexander Higgins was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daryl Bullard's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Alexander Higgins skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Kris Prior kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alexander Higgins. That made the score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. After 25 played minutes La Cicloneta got a freekick which was hit by Wally Kitching. Alexander Higgins made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Daryl Bullard sent off a good shot on target. Alexander Higgins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Kemp in the 30th minute of play. Daryl Bullard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexander Higgins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Kris Prior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, La Cicloneta's Liam Hamer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alexander Higgins. Alexander Higgins yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
In the 52nd minute Tom Kemp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Higgins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 played minutes Scotland got a freekick which was hit by Ashton Nelson. Ayaan McGowan's late challenge caught a La Cicloneta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ayaan McGowan helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Scotland fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! In the 57th minute there was a penalty for La Cicloneta. Tom Kemp stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alexander Higgins. 4-0. Jake Dennison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Higgins having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Daryl Bullard suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. During the 63rd minute of the match Ayaan McGowan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ayaan McGowan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. La Cicloneta's Harvey Connell was substituted for Daryl Bullard. Ayaan McGowan hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Alexander Higgins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Kemp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tom Kemp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Scotland getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Fletcher Main hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Harvey Connell made a precise shot to the right of Alexander Higgins. Scotland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Fletcher Main fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pat Lindley having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Scotland's goal looked a bit too open when Harvey Connell came free, but Alexander Higgins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harvey Connell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricky Millman kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, La Cicloneta's Kris Prior nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexander Higgins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 95th minute Tom Kemp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Higgins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Fletcher Main managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scotland's supporters rose to their feet, but Fletcher Main was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pat Lindley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. La Cicloneta had played much better football throughout.
