Alan Rezek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Sverker Hammarberg made a huge save. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kvetoslav Janku didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jakob Caspersson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Elder do Valle came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vavrinec Holub didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elder do Valle went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Czech Republic's Alan Rezek got a free kick in the 79th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Caspersson came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Czech Republic's David Rusil got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bohumir Kohout kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Elder do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Elder do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vavrinec Holub breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manchester United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
