The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Behe Ruisuarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torben Drieø saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gettrup SIK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kris Noander in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Mesere's goal looked a bit too open when Kris Noander came free, but Cai Fei Cheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mesere booed when Gettrup SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isak Krontoft didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gettrup SIK's Loui Dyndgaard suffered a concussion after 26 minutes and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Inko Sagrario during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gettrup SIK's Keld Popp was substituted for Loui Dyndgaard. After a rather tough play, Mesere's Inko Sagrario got a free kick in the 28th minute. Gettrup SIK were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Mesere's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kris Noander took the corner. After taking down the ball on Gettrup SIK's corner Kris Noander fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cai Fei Cheng quite easily take care of the ball. Keld Popp who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Cai Fei Cheng when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mesere's Innocenzio Barcenas suffered a sore thigh after 31 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Isak Krontoft's late challenge caught a Mesere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isak Krontoft helped the player get up and apologised. Mesere's Eate Azcaraso was substituted for Innocenzio Barcenas. A collision led to Gettrup SIK getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Isak Krontoft hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Walentin Stammerjohan in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mesere's Anatoli Búnev. Torben Drieø showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Behe Ruisuarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Mesere's Cai Fei Cheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Stenhus in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kris Noander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 63 minutes into the match, David Herstad notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Mesere's Cai Fei Cheng. Cai Fei Cheng was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Behe Ruisuarez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mesere's supporters rose to their feet, but Behe Ruisuarez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torben Drieø breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute David Herstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cai Fei Cheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torben Drieø was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anatoli Búnev showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 78 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mesere's Esteban Theodore got a free kick in the 81st minute. Mesere's Cai Fei Cheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keld Popp in the 82nd minute of play. Cai Fei Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keld Popp in the 84th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Keld Popp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gettrup SIK and the Mesere players grew even worse after the yellow card. Keld Popp hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. David Herstad took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cai Fei Cheng. Cai Fei Cheng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Cai Fei Cheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keld Popp, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
