Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ronnys Lärjungar defense, Graciano Coutinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bennvar Buffon. The Ronnys Lärjungar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bennvar Buffon should have stopped the shot. 16 minutes into the match, Stelian Hortopan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilson Amorim, 1-1. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelian Hortopan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xu Gang Bing in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stelian Hortopan. In the 27th minute of the match, Xu Gang Bing tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilson Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xu Gang Bing in the 30th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Portugal's Raul Caetano seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Raul Caetano the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Portugal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Raul Caetano had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Portugal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! In the 37th minute, Portugal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Stelian Hortopan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bennvar Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Bennvar Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 44th minute of the match. Bennvar Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute Daniel Pimentel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bennvar Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felipe Barreto to make the kick off. Bennvar Buffon was a little too slow when Felipe Barreto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 2-2. Ronnys Lärjungar's Murat Dogan was substituted for Christoforos Manousopoulos. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xu Gang Bing in the 58th minute of play. Bennvar Buffon made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ronnys Lärjungar's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Barreto was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Portugal's Felipe Barreto to fire away a dangerous shot which Bennvar Buffon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Portugal's Caetano Moreira in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ronnys Lärjungar's goalie prevented a goal. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Felipinho Amorim took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bennvar Buffon. Bennvar Buffon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. After a defensive mix-up in Ronnys Lärjungar's zone, Daniel Pimentel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bennvar Buffon came out of the goal and Daniel Pimentel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Caetano Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the game, Portugal's Felipinho Amorim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bennvar Buffon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-7.
