Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Christobal in the 4th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Mikolaj Jerzyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olgierd Wojtowicz got free with Fodor Daniel in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Mikolaj Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pankracy Malicki's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Fodor Daniel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 19 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk. Mikolaj Jerzyk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 37th minute Newcastle United were awarded a corner. Donato Christobal went to the cornerflag to take it. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kajetan Kochniarczyk in the 42nd minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Newcastle United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hungary were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Antal Valentin made the kick off in the second half. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kajetan Kochniarczyk in the 57th minute of play. Newcastle United were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Hungary's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Donato Christobal took the corner. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hungary! When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Antal Valentin took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Mikolaj Jerzyk to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Hungary's Antal Valentin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mikolaj Jerzyk. That made the score 0-3 after 66 minutes of play. 68 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olgierd Wojtowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pankracy Malicki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Newcastle United made a substitution. Marian Zembrzuski replaced Pankracy Malicki. Mikolaj Jerzyk made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. Donato Christobal kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Marian Zembrzuski struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newcastle United. Marian Zembrzuski charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marian Zembrzuski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Newcastle United's Marian Zembrzuski got a free kick in the 94th minute. Tadeusz Pstrongowski's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeusz Pstrongowski helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Newcastle United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Hungary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Newcastle United throughout the match.
