Zorion Oña scored 2-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexander Higgins, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Robert McNeill hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the game, Zorion Oña recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alexander Higgins. Zorion Oña showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Alexander Higgins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zuzen Arroniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexander Higgins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacinto Agosta went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Flavio Hurdinosa hit a great ball. Fletcher Main sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Scotland's Jaxson Russell got a free kick in the 29th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zuzen Arroniz in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Higgins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexander Higgins made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Jacinto Agosta sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Jacinto Agosta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alexander Higgins. That made the score 6-0 after 35 minutes of play. Alexander Higgins was a little too slow when Zorion Oña got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 7-0. With a little luck, Scotland's Alexander Higgins got control of the ball when Zorion Oña tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zuzen Arroniz might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexander Higgins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zuzen Arroniz ran back to his position shaking his head. After 46 minutes, Ashton Nelson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scotland and the Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 46 played minutes Scotland got a freekick which was hit by Ashton Nelson. When Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Zuzen Arroniz in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Scotland's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zac O'Donnell to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Flavio Hurdinosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Hurdinosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
