To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Zdeno Kríž came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With splendid footwork Ondrej Poliovka arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 13th minute. Paul Vestberg hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabriel Černoch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Seman in the 26th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gabriel Černoch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ibai Koldobika. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ibai Koldobika in the 31st minute of play. Gabriel Černoch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to ŠK Horelica getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Miroslav Trenčan hit a great ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ibai Koldobika in the 41st minute of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. ŠK Horelica's Gabriel Černoch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 46th minute of play. Lars Meesters made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that ŠK Horelica's Gabriel Černoch managed to reach the ball for a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, ŠK Horelica's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Gabriel Černoch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Černoch having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Gabriel Černoch in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Wim Wilmes hit a great ball. In the 61st minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gabriel Černoch was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Gabriel Černoch made a huge save. When ŠK Horelica's Ibai Koldobika in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gabriel Černoch made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. Gabriel Černoch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.
