Eric Hansma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Jilek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dave Meijs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alan Rezek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vavrinec Holub was a little too slow when Neeme Van Achteren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 28th minute Jan Dijken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Hansma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Dostal, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 38th minute, Valdemar Turecek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Northern Titans's Niek Schokkenbroek got a free kick in the 47th minute. Northern Titans made a substitution. Rudi Hoogendorp replaced Dave Meijs. Eric Hansma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Rezek, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Northern Titans's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erik Jilek was slow to take the kick. During this time Czech Republic's players had a chance to rest. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Jilek was the one to do the kick off. Vavrinec Holub didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rudi Hoogendorp went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 62 minutes into the game, Rudi Hoogendorp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Vavrinec Holub was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eric Hansma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Jilek in the 68th minute. Kvetoslav Janku hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 75th match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svatopluk Capek to maneuver through the defense. When Northern Titans's Neeme Van Achteren in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Czech Republic's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Northern Titans booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalimil Charvat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Kvetoslav Janku hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudi Hoogendorp kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Niek Schokkenbroek's late challenge caught a Czech Republic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niek Schokkenbroek helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, one of Northern Titans:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Northern Titans. In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Czech Republic. Erik Jilek stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eric Hansma. 3-1. In the 98th match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Vitek to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Northern Titans were the better team. Northern Titans's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
