In the 6thth minute of the game Frank Peletier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Curling's Carl Hokser was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Sonni Rudbjerg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maxime Durand. Sonni Rudbjerg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karlo Vibek. The corner led FC Curling's Fabian Falnov to fire away a dangerous shot which Maxime Durand despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Patrick Smidth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Smidth in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, FC Curling's Sonni Rudbjerg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maxime Durand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aksel Heiden hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Patrick Smidth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxime Durand having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Patrick Smidth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Curling's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Smidth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carl Hokser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Peletier in the 42nd minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Herman Bogholdt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Curling's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave France the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Curling's Herman Bogholdt got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Carl Hokser didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Peletier went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patrick Smidth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, France's Camille Baume got a free kick in the 51st minute. Aksel Heiden kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, David Barbier managed to get in a good position for a shot. France's supporters rose to their feet, but David Barbier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Hokser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sonni Rudbjerg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, FC Curling's goalkeeper Carl Hokser had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Peletier. France's Frank Peletier pulled a muscle in his back after 78 minutes and couldn't finish the game. France made a substitution. Bruno Gaubert replaced Frank Peletier. After a rather tough play, FC Curling's Bob Bøgel got a free kick in the 80th minute. After recieving a nice pass, France's David Barbier tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herman Bogholdt in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Maxence Durand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Gaubert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camille Baume received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Carl Hokser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Curling were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of France for a fine match.
