Lucas Menossi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Santiago Urtats made a huge save. Daníel Islas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Aureo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belfegor FC's attentive Virgílio Britto managed to snatch the ball when Cristo Bernaldo made a throw-in in the 10th minute of the game. In the 12th minute Desiderio Aureo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daníel Islas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Desiderio Aureo in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daníel Islas saved Belfegor FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Belfegor FC defense, Benigno Iago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daníel Islas. The Belfegor FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daníel Islas should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Belfegor FC's Enzo Francescoli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Santiago Urtats. That made the score 1-1 after 16 minutes of play. Santiago Urtats made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Menossi in the 19th minute. Daníel Islas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Markel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belfegor FC's Daníel Islas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Iago in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 played minutes Belfegor FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Magno. In the 25th minute, Benedicto Markel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guillermo Geofredo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Leopoldo Liberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daníel Islas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Benedicto Markel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paunero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Guillermo Geofredo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paunero! The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlo Magno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Leopoldo Liberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daníel Islas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristo Bernaldo made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Belfegor FC's Enzo Francescoli. The supporters of Belfegor FC booed when Paunero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Arlo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santiago Urtats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Menossi in the 78th minute of the match. Benedicto Markel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Daníel Islas made a huge save. Daníel Islas made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Benedicto Markel sent off a good shot on target. 88 minutes into the match, Paunero's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Chaparro came free, but Santiago Urtats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Menossi in the 89th minute of play forced Paunero's goalkeeper Santiago Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th match minute, Paunero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Liberto to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Lucas Menossi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belfegor FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Amedeo Di Felice charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amedeo Di Felice the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 94 played minutes Belfegor FC got a freekick which was hit by Amedeo Di Felice.
