The MKS Legion Częstochowa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimeno Velasco should have stopped the shot. A collision led to MKS Legion Częstochowa getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Gustaw Trojanowski hit a great ball. Jimeno Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Galoer, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by MKS Legion Częstochowa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emanuel Obafuso was slow to take the kick. During this time Racing Club【LBF】's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Racing Club【LBF】's corner Emanuel Obafuso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jimeno Velasco quite easily take care of the ball. Valter Festas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to MKS Legion Częstochowa getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Napoleon Chlebek hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Cláudio Taffarel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Manuel Marchidan made the kick off in the second half. MKS Legion Częstochowa made a substitution. Konstanty Przybyciel replaced Rafal Gmoch. With his leg Jimeno Velasco managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Racing Club【LBF】's Emanuel Obafuso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Racing Club【LBF】's Cláudio Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valter Festas in the 68th minute of play. Severino Jatsu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Jimeno Velasco made a huge save. With a little luck, MKS Legion Częstochowa's Jimeno Velasco got control of the ball when Severino Jatsu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kajetan Pietrowiak during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 80th minute, one of MKS Legion Częstochowa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. Carolo Chuse kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Cláudio Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachary Naskrent in the 93rd minute of play. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konstanty Przybyciel in the 96th minute of the match. Racing Club【LBF】's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
