The supporters of I Dont CopyXML Tactics booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bas Tuitert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tonny Bernard got free with Arnout Reekers in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute, Iwan de Lange hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. I Dont CopyXML Tactics's Santo Marcos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 28th minute of play. If David Eikelkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 29th minute David Eikelkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Marcos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo Marcos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 35th minute of play forced I Dont CopyXML Tactics's goalkeeper Santo Marcos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santo Marcos was left in no man's land by his defense there! I Dont CopyXML Tactics's Santo Marcos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 39th minute of play. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Mario Steinmetz made the kick off in the second half. Santo Marcos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, I Dont CopyXML Tactics's goal looked a bit too open when David Eikelkamp came free, but Santo Marcos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55thth minute of the game David Eikelkamp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but I Dont CopyXML Tactics's Santo Marcos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Santo Marcos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santo Marcos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Eikelkamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Santo Marcos in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 66 played minutes I Dont CopyXML Tactics got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Carlos Nascimento. Santo Marcos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 78th minute, Erasmo de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, I Dont CopyXML Tactics's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Santo Marcos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wim Wilmes scored 0-3 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santo Marcos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Santo Marcos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 86th minute. I Dont CopyXML Tactics's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gustaaf Groeneveldt 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. In the 91st minute, Wim Wilmes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
