Alexander Higgins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 72 minutes into the match, Fletcher Main had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Per-Oskar Stor. Zantos IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fletcher Main was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Fletcher Main sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Sergiu Teodoreanu put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alexander Higgins. Sergiu Teodoreanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexander Higgins having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Sergiu Teodoreanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexander Higgins was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 90th minute Urbain Richard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Higgins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Sergiu Teodoreanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Zantos IF were the better team. Zantos IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
