An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho de Carvalho in the 11th minute of play forced Aston Villa FC's goalkeeper Filiph Hägg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filiph Hägg made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Oswaldo Prado sent off a good shot on target. 57 minutes into the game, Merrill Pryor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ismael Nazario Serre was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ismael Nazario Serre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merrill Pryor, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Merrill Pryor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Nazario Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
