Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Caelan Hayes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jan Laada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute, Kyle Cox left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The England fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 34th match minute, England was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cooper Thompson to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th match minute, England was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leighton Davies to maneuver through the defense. After 38 played minutes, FK Partizan Beograd's Svetoje Tankosić shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FK Partizan Beograd reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Cox in the 42nd minute of play forced FK Partizan Beograd's goalkeeper Jan Laada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Micah Macdonald had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Laada. FK Partizan Beograd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Micah Macdonald was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kyle Cox was the one to do the kick off. Jan Laada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Cox in the 53rd minute of the match. A collision led to FK Partizan Beograd getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Lázaro Lucian hit a great ball. If Kyle Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khalid Kennedy came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by FK Partizan Beograd's Åke Bållström. But to his dismay, Åke Bållström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. England's Khalid Kennedy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aćim Ajdarić in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Hermes in the 72nd minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aćim Ajdarić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Åke Bållström kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Jan Laada successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jan Laada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Cox in the 89th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Jevtimije Basara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The FK Partizan Beograd fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. England were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
