After 45 minutes of play, FC Bullen's Richard Fredriksson made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Casper Claes was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to FC Bullen getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Verner Hägert hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Pååk in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amador Merexildo was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Bullen's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Kurt Pååk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Belgium's Casper Claes did a great save. Yves Dervaux might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toni Schumacher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yves Dervaux ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yves Dervaux got free with Toni Schumacher in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Fredriksson in the 64th minute of play. Nigel Devos charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nigel Devos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Belgium fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Bullen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Belgium had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
