The referee ignored Bajen's protests and gave Baldomero Sugar a yellow card for diving instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The Bajen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
