After a defensive mix-up in SC Atabueira's zone, Gleb Sorokin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Idalécio Carrasqueira came out of the goal and Gleb Sorokin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Voskresensk FC's goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute of the match SC Atabueira got a corner. Voskresensk FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hugon Bryk ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Jaime Eiró drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Voskresensk FC's goalkeeper. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Belchior Ribeiro in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Akinfeev saved Voskresensk FC from getting behind. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
