In the 18th minute, Nemesio Lope hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Germany's Malte Schiele got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Kåre Bocklund took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Tommy Kahn to make any attempt to save it. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kåre Bocklund in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Kåre Bocklund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 36 minutes, Marc-André Reumann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Södermalm FK and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Södermalm FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc-André Reumann to maneuver through the defense. Södermalm FK's Marc-André Reumann got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Marc-André Reumann off the ground. The supporters of Germany booed when Södermalm FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc-André Reumann didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kåre Bocklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kåre Bocklund made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Södermalm FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lukas Kvarnström to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Johan Hagberg in the 54th minute of the match. Södermalm FK were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Germany's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ulrik Malmgren took the corner. The corner ended in Ulrik Malmgren almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Germany's Tommy Kahn did a great save. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kåre Bocklund went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Adrian Dreifuss kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrik Malmgren in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Kåre Bocklund came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Isac Falkrantz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Albin Holweck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Östen Ahlbom having to make a save. Södermalm FK's Nicola Zaniolo was substituted for Lukas Kvarnström. Östen Ahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Schiele to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kåre Bocklund in the 93rd minute of play. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
