Patricio Jakes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Fabio Auer made a huge save. In the 25th minute of the match, Patricio Jakes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabio Auer was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Uriel Coca struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Fabio Auer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Revolución Joao FC. After 29 played minutes Revolución Joao FC got a freekick which was hit by Vigil Almenara. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Burbano Charro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Revolución Joao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Burbano Charro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Auer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Austria's Fabio Auer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Austria from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Fabio Auer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Uriel Coca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Fabio Auer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabio Auer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Jakes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Jakes in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Auer saved Austria from getting behind.
