Serafino Hermelando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Deunoro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Malte Schiele made in the 13th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Frank Sachs. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Jairo Deunoro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Caballeritos del Baile's Jairo Deunoro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 2-0 after 19 minutes of play. In the 22nd match minute, Caballeritos del Baile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Giraldo to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Jairo Deunoro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Sven Krakouer hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jairo Deunoro in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tommy Kahn, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sachs in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Urtsua saved Caballeritos del Baile from getting behind. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Caballeritos del Baile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frank Sachs was slow to take the kick. During this time Germany's players had a chance to rest. Chris Mergenthaler made in the 43rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Frank Sachs immediately put the ball in play. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Sven Krakouer hit a great ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Marcelo Peio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caballeritos del Baile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Peio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. Jairo Deunoro took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 60 minutes into the game, Chris Mergenthaler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caballeritos del Baile the free kick. After 60 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Chris Mergenthaler. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Deunoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Deunoro in the 67th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, D.J. Malay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jairo Deunoro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. When Sven Krakouer fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Sven Krakouer a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Germany fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! In the 96th minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caballeritos del Baile's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
