Pogoń Staszów's Waldemar Dulka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilmo Kaven in the 36th minute of play. After 37 played minutes Pogoń Staszów got a freekick which was hit by Tobiasz Debkowski. Viljami Virtala took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Waldemar Dulka. Pogoń Staszów's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 48 minutes into the game, when Tobiasz Debkowski put in a rough tackle. In the 48th minute, one of Pogoń Staszów:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pogoń Staszów.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Waldemar Siwek to strike the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Pogoń Staszów's goalkeeper Waldemar Dulka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antto Valtonen. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tero Hiltunen in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldemar Dulka saved Pogoń Staszów from getting behind. Ilmo Kaven received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal.
